I wanted the amplifier outside for easier Bluetooth connection. So I installed water tight boxes for the power adapter and the amplifier. Siliconed the holes for speaker wire and power lines.The music sounds decent, no complaints. Installation was easy. And for the price it was a steal.Definitely better than the previous Bluetooth speakers I bought for the deck.
I over all like the product however after setting up, I noticed at full volume it sounds good but not super loud like I would think for a 600w system. After investigating it looks like the speakers can handle 150w each but the amp is only rated at 40RMS with a peak of 200 per speaker. So in reality I could get a 2 channel 4ohm 600w amp and it would push the speakers to the max! For now I will see how it goes and then contemplate it. FYI the amp and the power suply are not water proof which is why I made a custom enclosure for it. I am actually ordering a custom power supply so it fits nice and neat in the box.
Didn’t expect much at first, but I’ve grown to love it more every day. Morning coffee on the balcony with music playing — it’s my favorite moment of the day. Worth every penny.
