Getting multiple speakers to harmonize is key when working with passive speakers, and it all revolves around your choice of amplifier. At Herdio, we offer two main types of amplifiers: 2-channel and 4-channel models.
For those seeking simplicity and Bluetooth connectivity, our entry-level 2-channel Bluetooth amplifier, the BTX01, is a perfect fit. It features an Aux-hole input source and is ideal for users who prefer a straightforward Bluetooth setup.
On the other hand, our 4-channel Bluetooth amplifier, the 68, offers a wider range of auxiliary input options, including TWS, USB, microphone, Mono, and aux. In TWS mode, two 68 amplifiers can work simultaneously, allowing you to connect up to 8 speakers—a great choice for larger rooms.
Additionally, we have the wall-mounted Bluetooth controller amplifier 16bt, which also supports both 2-channel and 4-channel configurations. With features like aux, microphone, USB, and stereo capabilities, it's an excellent choice for those who want direct sound control while maintaining a clean, wall-mounted appearance.

What size speaker is right for your room? If you choose based on the size of the space, we suggest that you can first measure the size of your room. For these ranges, our recommendation is to choose a pair (2 speakers) of 4" ceiling speakers for rooms from 0-430 square feet; 431 - 645 square feet of room choose a pair (2 speakers) of 5.25-inch ceiling speakers; 645-1075 square feet for rooms choosing two pairs (4 speakers) of 5.25-inch ceiling speakers; 1076-1292 square feet of rooms choose a pair (2 speakers) of 6.5-inch ceiling speakers.
In fact, most settings such as bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, living rooms, covered porches and other places are suitable for round ceiling speakers from 418 to 818, as well as square ceiling speakers 5030 and 5022. If you want to install them in a damp place like the bathroom or kitchen, you can even use a more lightweight marine ceiling speaker. Such as 4-inch 5104 and 6.5-inch 6005. For RVs, golf carts, boats, and other mobile spaces, the 5104 and 6005 are perfect because they are light enough and moisture resistant.
So how are the speakers mounted to the ceiling? For the 418, 528 and 818, remove their grills and then secure them to the ceiling by tightening the screws and rotating and securing the clips. Then put the grill back on again. You'll have a neat flat surface. And you can and can take them out at any time with screws at ground level without having to run up to the attic. For the 628, it is held in place by two spring clips, so you don't have to open the grill up, just pull the clips, put it in the hole and clamp it to the ceiling. This model requires that you have enough space in the ceiling because when you want to remove it from the ceiling, you may need to open the clips and remove the speaker from the ceiling position. For the 5104 and 6005, the two marine ceiling speakers, they are screwed in place.
Finally, we've included a comparison of four models of Herdio's round ceiling speakers, which we'll compare based on their grill flushness (how neatly they fit in the ceiling), sound quality, ease of installation, and wattage. Since the 528 and 818 grills are recessed, installing them on the ceiling will look like this. And the 418's grill is magnetic, so you can easily take its grill off. So the convenience of the 418 is the best. It is also fairly flush with the ceiling when installed. Since the 628 is fixed with clips, it grill is fixed. It is installed in the ceiling looks like this, does it look perfectly blended with the ceiling? So when it comes to sound quality, the 818 is the best sound quality, and its wattage is also the highest among the four models. I believe that many customers will notice the 818 speakers on the two blue switches, right? Their role is to change the midrange of the tweeter, as well as the bass crossover. You can try flicking the switches back and forth to test the sound.
