Good Value and Nice Aesthetic

Wanted something that didn't look absolutely obnoxious on a 19' ski boat. Nice low profile, aesthetically pleasing design. Swivels and adjusts nicely. Secured mine with marine adhesive and an additional washer on the backside. Mounting hardware included isn't really going to be sufficient for keeping it sturdy and in place with all the bumps and bouncing you experience on the water - cheap and easy fix, though. Like how it flexes so I can still put my cover over the boat without having to worry about removing or adjusting the antenna first.

Seems like it will be a good fit

Seems like it will work well, won't know till we install in the spring. It does rotate as stated.

Works OK

I deducted a star because you have to loosen a screw if you want to fold it over so you can put a boat cover (for example) over it. I've replaced the screw with a thumb screw and this makes it a bit easier.

Not Stainkess

The antenna was easy to mount and worked well. However, despite being called a "marine antenna", I would not recommend it for marine use. The mounting stud and other hardware are not stainless. In less than a year, it's a rusty mess and will need to be replaced.

Works well wet or dry.

I mounted this antenna on the edge of a steel roofed building in a remote location. I works well.

A good solution for my travel trailer

This antenna looks better and should be more durable on my travel trailer due to the flexible mast. Installation was more problematic due to the short length of the threaded stem which barely had enough thread engagement of secure it properly.

Installation on side of vehicle…adjustable for vertical position.. needs large interior hole washer

Antenna fits existing hole. Outside rubber washer covered existing hole but no provided large washer for interior. For my installation it required additional smaller and large washer. Two washer to compensate for thickness of metal and depth of antenna. Large washer to hold and position antenna in existing hole. Antenna wire attaches to end of sharft with opposite end connector standard for automotive radio.Thank you for looking at my Review which I hope you find Valuable and HELPFUL. 😃

Effective FM antenna for travel trailer, with proper adaptation

I installed this on the roof of my travel trailer, and it greatly improved reception. However, in order to do so, I needed a much, much longer center bolt than it came with, longer than I could buy. The mounting bolt is a 10/32 machine screw, and the distance from the ceiling of my RV to the antenna mount on top needed to be at least 4 1/2". The longest bolt that size available at the local hardware store was 3". Fortunately, I have a drill press and a 10/32 tap, so I drilled a hole through the center of a 3/8" rod, tapped it and threaded two screws together to extend the bolt. It was a lot of messing around, but it works well. Amazon does sell 10/32 machine screws in 4" and 5" lengths, so that's another option.

Herdio Waterproof Marine Radio Antenna - For Marine Band frequencies only.

Mounted this on my trailer/camper conversion. Reception is very poor. Both cars pick up a lot more local stations than this antenna. And this antenna was mounted higher than the cars are. One car has a windshield type antenna and picks up many more stations. I live about 10 miles from Louisville, Ky and it will only pick up one radio station. I even unscrewed my trucks mast and set it inside the threads (smaller threads) of this unit and it picked up many more stations. I may take it down, return it and order a better unit. Very, very disappointed.4/5/18 Updated. After reviewing the description I learned this is for marine frequencies - not your typical FM radio frequencies. Though I can not rate it on how it picks up marine frequencies I can say I replaced the mast with a standard FM radio frequency length and it works wonderfully. Picks up many more music radio stations than either car stated in 1st review. The description should state this is for marine frequencies - the FM AM Boat Car had me thinking it was an antenna for the standard music FM radio stations. I didn't know there was a difference in the frequencies or how the antenna length affected which frequency it would pick up. Lesson learned.
